Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of Talbot, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring robust financial health. This position requires a visionary financial leader who is passionate about making a significant impact on water sustainability and contributing to our global mission.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA (SA) non-negotiable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CFO/FD.
Key Attributes and Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the sector would be a key advantage.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support Talbot's mission and long-term goals.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other executives to drive strategic initiatives and business development.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's assets.
- Support sustainable water management projects and initiatives through effective financial planning and resource allocation.
- Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements across the organization.
- Represent Talbot in financial discussions with investors, partners, and regulatory bodies.
